Hi, I'm Lorrene, the creator and designer behind MOSS.
The love of flowers has been with me since I was a child, and I have always been involved with the creation of floral design in one form or another. It was only natural that my love for composition and nature has ultimately led me to a career in floral design, hence, MOSS. The creation behind my brand stems from nature's moss itself, solely for the feeling that it encompasses. The tactile qualities of velvet and silk combined with raw earthiness is truly poetic in nature.
As I became older, I realized that I was drawn not only to the visual intrigue and beauty in which exists within flowers and botany; but moreover the fragrances themselves and the vivid emotions that surface from each unique scent. It's worth noting the impression that these scents have the ability to leave on your memory. Joy, nostalgia, and curiosity. The first time I was introduced to honeysuckle it was by my aunt. She showed me that the flower actually tasted like honey, and to this day when I am presented with honeysuckle, I think of her. As each season changes, I look forward to the arrival of different varieties of flowers, foliages and their beautiful fragrances along with all the new memories in which they have the potential to bring.
Client Work.
It is a combination of these intimate reasons that enables me to be so passionate about what I do. I have been immersed in design and the complete nature of florals and all of which that encompasses. I am always deeply honored when presented with an opportunity to create for a client, and strive to apply my passion and love for design to best meet the wishes of each person or company that I work with. I have worked with many high profile clients in their homes, and enjoy designing decor for styled dinner parties and large scale events.
Scented Candles
Ultimately my love of floral and fragrance encouraged me to to develop my own scented candles. My first step in the process was to travel to France and visit as many gardens as I could, while completely immersing myself in fragrance. Working with some of the best perfumers in the world, we are creating some beautiful fragrances blended with natural waxes, essential oils, and perfumes from flowers, herbs, and plants from all over France and other countries.
